Sorry for not being able to post any message since we went to Black Rock City. We needed to rest...It is hard to come back to "reality."
We would like to say a couple of things:
1. Governor Sarah Palin is not going to distract us from the nightmare that we are all suffering thanks to a horrible Republican administration. She is the new Republican sedative ready to be prescribed by the Republicans and right-wing extremists alike if McCain gets elected. Palin might well be the remedy for McCain's presidential campaing, but Our Amerika cannot afford another four years of plain bullshit and sedatives. We don't need sleeping pills.
2. We need Obama and Biden. We need people like them to awake us from the long eigth-year Republican nightmare. Please say NO to more sedatives; say NO to McCain-Palin...
Embrace life, wake up people!!! if you want to keep dreaming the American Dream, wake up to reality...

Unfortunately we have no choice for a competent president, There are none running. With all respects to Obama, whom I admire for what he has achieved in life, check out who are his advisers on financial matters. Ex-Freddy Mac CEOs,who have stepped down because of questionable practices, Ex and present Wall Streets CEOs, whose sacrilegious earnings are targets to all of our present anger.
The present economic troubles we are in, as much as you want to blame Bush(and I have no love for the way he has governed),have began during the Clinton democratic era.
Please inform yourself before you make statements without any knowledge of the economic problems we are having.
As a Basque you don't speak for every Basque. Not every Basque is a Democrat, in fact if we were informed properly and sufficiently we would mostly be "Republican"...or maybe more libertarian. Eskerrik Asko.
Signing as New York Basque Club, should I assume that you do speak for the New York basque Club as an institutional entity?

Actually, Basques only represent a minority of our team. We also have people supporting other political views, but as a collective, we are supporting Obama-Liden, you like it or not...
